Before the festival week began, the class took a few travel excursions to the surrounding cities including Nice and Antibes. The first excursion was a walking tour of Cannes. While tiny, Cannes is incredibly beautiful. We walked up to the Cannes sign and got an overview of the whole city (see below). We made our way down the hill and to a great lunch. Then we boarded a catamaran cruise. I had never been on a catamaran boat before and it was an amazing experience. During the ride, we took a pit stop for people to swim, paddle board, snorkel, etc. Such a fun day!
Antibes was my favorite place to visit. I had no idea going into the excursion what to expect. But upon arrival, I was shocked. The architecture, beaches, and restaurants were all so amazing. We had a tour at the Picasso museum which was very interesting. This is a place I would definitely be interested in visiting again.
